I'm an American Licensed Clinical Social Worker (my license, LCS#23576, is in the state of California). I went to graduate school in San Diego and worked for a number of years as a therapist at a large psychiatric hospital there and as a therapist in the San Diego City School system.

I have lived in Japan for most of the past 40 years (I speak fluent Japanese), and I now divide my time between Tokyo and Brisbane, Australia.

I had an office in Tokyo's Roppongi neighborhood for many years, but gave it up during the COVID pandemic. I now work entirely online.

I really enjoy doing therapy with expatriates and Third Culture Kids from around the world. Psychotherapy can be hard work, but it's always interesting and rewarding as well.
